American Artists
This company produces fine quality artwork of legendary horses (almost all are of Thoroughbreds), including collector plates, sculptures, and prints. Their beautiful bronze and cold-cast porcelain (resin) sculptures of famous race horses include Alysheba, John Henry, Man O' War, Ruffian and Secretariat. They also have two sculptures of the Black Stallion.

American Artists is well-known for their collector plates and have over forty that have been made. Nearly all are of Thoroughbreds, but they do have a few of other breeds, including Arabians and Andalusians and a couple commemorating the famous jockey, Bill Shoemaker.

They also have many lithographs of mostly race horses, but again, have a few of other breeds and jockeys.

Most of the sculpures done for American Artists were done by Fred Stone, although two artists have done a few of the pieces, including Renee Rushing and David Geentry. They have also worked with the company, Border Fine Arts, to produce the head busts and Black Stallion sculptures. (Information for this write up was provided by Janet Piercy)

American Artists has their main office on Long Island in New York (moved circa 2003 from Rhode Island).
