Ernest Baggaley was the founder of Branksome China and he and his brother Bert both worked originally for Poole Pottery. Ernest died many years ago and his widow, Elaine Baggaley, has been running the company since. They mostly sell China.

The company was bought by Philip and Charlie Johnson from Elaine Baggaley in October 2007 and is currently operating as of Summer 2008.
