Windchime
Silver dapple Gypsy Vanner stallion, customized from the Brigette Eberl Adonis resin, created 2009. Tom describes this piece: Ok, maybe not the most masculine name for such a masculine sculpture, but I had to name him Windchime due to the gentle Spring time winds blowing my Mom's windchime outside the window. With his flowing mane and tail, it just suited him. This sculpture impressed me so much I just couldn't decide on a color for him. Altho he was sculpted as a Shire, I just couldn't vision him as one or in their limited color palate. So I did some research and thought he would make a dandy Gypsy Vanner, and an even more eye catching in deep silver dapple! So with airbrush cranked on a mission, the layering of color began. Lots of rich chocolates and black tones with ample dappling of various size, depth and placement. His mane/tail is a mixture of his body color, cream and smokey grey for accuracy. He was given 4 white socks and a star, strip and snip for giggles. The end result, well ... I think he is handsome and so does he! I especially like the soft grey shading around his eye and muzzle, it gives him character galore.
Travis
Seal bay European draft foal, customized from the Brigette Eberl Basilikum resin; created in 2010. Tom describes piece: I painted this young boy into a variation on foal coated seal brown. It is a very eye-catching color and I left him without chrome so he could be a host of those "exotic" European Draft breeds we all read about. He ranges from creamy tawny to darker points, he even has baby coated feathering on his legs.
