Glossy grey Stock Horse
Dapple rose and fleabit grey Quarter Horse stallion. Stone Ideal stock Horse, long mane, long tail. Created 2007. Tom describes this piece: He is very liberally dappled, altho they really do not show up in this photo. The color is a light dapple rose grey with fleabites. So many shades and hues to his color, including some pearl, copper and other soft shimmery use. These do not show up in this photo, a real must see to appreciate kind of horse. Fantastic eye detail too!
The Longmane/longtail ISH body was factory customized prior to me painting him. Includes a windswept out tail and tongue hanging out. Very nice work, his lips are even slightly parted to make room for the tongue - not just adding the appendage onto the outside of his mouth.
Grey Arabian
Rose grey with fleabits Arabian gelding. Stone Arabian. Created 2007. Tom describes this piece: His head/neck was straightened, wrinkles between nostrils added, ears twitched and reshaped and tail reworked ... overall it gives him quite the sophisticated "halter" look He has been gelded as well --- he will definitely rock the gelding division. The body was also immaculately prepped before painting, so he is very LSQ.
I painted him into a light dappled rosegrey with soft fleabites, glossy finish. He is very similiar to the ISH I posted yesterday ... I painted this Arab first and was so smitten with the way he came out I duplicated it closely on the ISH. This boy has lovely dappling, soft soft and delicate ... being darkest and most evident on his hindquarters altho he has some on his forequarters too. So much detail in him that is hidden by the glossy reflection in the photos. Mane/tail are a dark deep coppery chestnut/black combination that really sets him off and flows throughout his entire body. Fantastic facial shadings that must be seen in person to be fully appreciated. The topping is his stunningly detailed eye! (swoon!)
