Faye actively started collecting model horses again in the '80's. A few years ago, she started painting carousel horses, including a life size carousel zebra. In early 1998 she started customizing Breyer horses and discovered her passion for making model horses "come alive."
After loosing her job with a film company in Los Angeles, due to downsizing, Faye decided to turn her love of customizing into a business. Now, this is her livelihood and she is dedicated to each and every model. Her favorites are Arabian and Spanish breeds, then Drafters, and she prefers to work on Traditional size models. She uses a combination of airbrush and hand painting techniques, utilizing acrylic paints, and metallics for a lifelike sheen. She loves the look of a mohair mane and tail, and her hairing technique is second to none.
Many of her models have qualified for NAN, many are Grand and Reserve Champions, several are Top 10 at NAN, and "Hydra-Shok" is the 2000 National Champion Custom Paint Horse, as well as several Grand and Reserve 2001 NAN Champs.
