Nelson, has been involved in the model horse hobby since about
1980. (She was formerly known as Shelly Poirier and Shelly Santin.)
She is originally from Massachusetts and showed and judged at
many large shows in the New England area in the 1990ís.
She has since moved to the Rocky Mountain west.
She now works only on Stablemate size models. She enjoys creating sport and performance type horses. She also creates her own tacks and props for the mini horses. has been in the hobby since about 1980.
