"My bags are packed, I'm ready to go. The taxi's waiting, he's blowing his horn..." Oh, I'm sorry. I carried away for a minute there. Where was I? Oh, yes. You have everything packed ready to go. Boy, you do have a lot of stuff don't you. Well, have you considered all the trips you'll take carrying boxes one at a time to the car, then to the room, and back? And you don't have any back problems, do you?
Maybe you should enlist the aid of some simple physics: wheels. It's no joke that the wheel improved a lot of peoples lives, historically. Even now, there various wheeled structures that can help you move things around.
Dolly: A four wheeled low-profile flat platform, used by movers. Available at moving/packing stores. $50-$100. Capable of moving up to 1000 pounds. Not recommended for lack of handles and ease of use.
Fork lift: A motorized four wheel vehicle able to lift material to proper height for loading. Available at dealers. $15,000.00 and up. Capable of moving many tons of material. Not recommended because of finding doors into show halls accessible, inability to get into an elevator, not to mention the exhaust. <vbg>
Hand truck: Two wheeled upright with bottom ledge and handle. Available at hardware stores. $25.00 and up. Capable of moving up to 250 pounds. Some versions are "convertible" and can be used like a dolly or upright. Highly recommended; suggested for car travel; this is of course contingent on being able to fit it into your car. (See photo 20)

Luggage cart: Two wheeled collapsible frame, with bungee cord. Available at luggage/travel store. $15 and up. Capable of handling up to 125 pounds. Highly recommended; suggested for air travel. There are different qualities of luggage carts. It is suggested you purchase one with large (4" diameter) wheels positioned behind the area where goods are stored. (See photo 20.)
Wagon: Yes, steal your younger brother or son's little red wagon! Available at toy stores. ~$50 and up. May be a problem unless there is sufficient storage to travel with.
Wheelbarrow: One wheeled cart with two handles. Available at garden and hardware stores. $50 and up. May be a problem unless there is sufficient storage to travel with.
I have one story to relate about wheels. Three people where trying to negotiate "Mr. Wheelie Cart" - a four wheeled dolly with handle - up stairs and around fountains in getting to their room from the front desk. Mr. Wheelie was loaded up with many boxes and bags, and other containers when the intrepid trio trudged across a bridge. And wouldn't you know it, but Mr. Wheelie's wheel went the wrong way and upset the whole cart. The trio were then seen picking up horses and dolls, paint, brushes and their dignity from the surrounding bushes and stream (to the amusement of the customers of the bar over looking this garden spot). The moral of this story is, don't overload your cart as you travel; take a number of trips if you need to.
