llie Davidson, of Smoke & Mirrors Workshop, has been active in the hobby since the mid-1970's and has been actively customizing models since the mid-1980's. Although she usually works in oil paints, Allie has made the switch to air-brushing.
As of 1997, Allie has decided to become a full time sculpter and model horse artist, and will be putting out a line of resincast horses in a variety of breeds. The first is a Traditional-sized Norman Cob cast from a completely original sculpture, released in Summer 1997. The next will be an Arabian in a western pleasure trot, followed by a walking Lusitano stallion.
When Allie isn't working on models, she is busy on her 10 acre horse ranch in Boulder Creek, California, riding and enjoying her three horses and playing with her 2-1/2 year old son, Eric. Allie is the proud owner of an enormous 17.1hand Hanoverian mare named Dare. Allie searched high and low to find a mare to match her great height of 6 feet (yes, she was a model!), and has been overjoyed with this outstanding athlete. In addition to Dare, Allie also owns an Appendix Quarter Horse gelding, Bondolero and another horse as well!
