FIRON

empty Firon
Arabian stallion resincast by Jackie Hamilton (sold out). Jackie comments on the run: Firon was my very first resin casting. It's been so long ago now that I'm not even sure what year he was released; I believe it was in the 89-91 range. He was (if I remember right) the second resin cast model ever released, after Carol Williams' Quarter Horse Stallion #1 model (which was the first). Firon was actually a remake of the classic Man O' War mold. Very little remained of the original mold (mainly just the torso and part of the head); I sculpted the rest out of gapoxio. The name "Firon" comes from Melanie Rawn's Sunrunner novels. I believe it's the name of a country (or perhaps it's a city) in the books. Need to re-read them to remind myself :)
