SVELTE
Svelte original sculpture
Warmblood colt, released early 2006. Jen on the creation of Svelte: This horse appeared out of no where. Honestly! And in the process, he took the 2005 Breyerfest Artisan Showcase by storm. I had volunteered to do a sculpting demo at the RESS booth in the Artisan Showcase, and figured when I was done doodling around with the clay, I would just squish it up and pack it up for the ride home. I wasnt expecting the reaction I got in speaking that idea outloud at the showcase! People were crowding around the entire time I was there working (2 hours), just to see this little colt come to life. I had so many people say wonderful things about him, and then mention that they would stop by the next night to see how he was coming along. I hadn't planned on coming the next night too! Since he brought so much attention to the RESS booth I figured I would leave him there that evening and then he could be out on display the following night. When I arrived on Saturday to pick him up, someone suggested I sit and work on him some more. What fun! So I sat and did more work. Many many requests to see him in resin and also in ceramic. I hadn't even thought about it, I mean I was just doing a demo! LOL. So you all have convinced me. He is finished now and being released in resin!
