anne Winther, one of the hobby's international artists from Denmark, has been in the hobby since 1989. Her first model was Breyer #411, a flea bit grey Sham and she still has the model in her small collection. Sanne entered her first photo show circa 1994.

Sanne made her first model painting adventure in 1996. She was so disappointed with the results that she threw the brushes and paint away, never to use again. She kept photo showing and live showing. Then in late 2000, she got an airbrush and in early 2001 when she obtained airbrush paint, she tried again. She really got hooked and thinks she drove Beth Hoffert, Margaret Hallam and Sophie Bergstrom just crazy with all of her questions. She's glad they still talk to her and sends on her thanks!

Her models started to take championship titles in photo shows and place in the top five at live shows. As there aren't twenty five shows a year in Denmark, she has to go abroad for live shows, but can't afford multiple shows every year. But she has folks proxy show her pieces around the world. Thanks are extended to Dana Donnelly and Margaret Hallam for their help.

Sanne tries to make her models as realistic as possible, but she doesn't like the "show polished" look very much. She never takes custom orders as she is in the hobby for fun not for business and wants to keep it fun. However, she always has "something" on the sales list. She hasn't tried remaking or sculpting, but may be courageous enough to do so soon.

She not only paints model horses, but also does flat work of science fiction and space themes. And she loves taking pictures. Sanne has degrees in mathematics, chemistry, biology and physics, but ends up working in model horses.
