hérèse Wolmer, who lives in Sweden, got in the hobby in the summer of 2001. Not long after she first heard of Breyer models she bought her first, a Hanoverian "Europa". Thérèse has always been interested in animals, horses and dogs in particular, so taking the plunge in to the model horse world wasn't difficult. Not long after her discovery, she joined the Swedish Model horse Society. Thérèse's been the editor of the society's member magazine since 2001 as one of her other interests is doing layouts and designs in both printed and online media.

Besides having a design interest, Thérèse also has a large interest in painting so the progression from just collecting to painting wasn't a big step. She likes to work on most molds and breeds. She feels her best work is with airbrush and regular brush. Thérèse prefers to paint the smaller sizes like classic and down to microminis. She always seeks to improve her work. Recently Thérèse has started to customize (change position) rather than just paint. Her own collection of horses is dominated by pinto colored warmbloods since she has a soft spot for that color and breed. Thérèse's collection also includes ponies, drafters and Thoroughbreds.

Thérèse's life is shared with a Weimaraner named Qelly. Qelly is the joy in Thérèse's life and they are trying to improve their hunting skills. In 2008, Thérèse will finish her masters degree (with an inter-cultural profile) in education.
