One of the best aspects of the Julip Live shows are the ‘Paint Your Own’ sessions where you buy either a blank body in advance and add paint, or order a specific colour which you can then add white markings to. I had always fancied ordering a very loud sabino on the Family Horse mould to have as a Criollo but I decided to give it a go myself when I went to the live and thus, ‘Manchego’ was born. Owned and photographed by Christine Sutcliffe.
