Andrea Jackson comments in 2002: I purchased some North Light foals (did not know that's what they were at the time of purchase but the price was $6.95 Canadian...how could I resist. Cheap like borscht!!!) and identified on the internet as such. All have NL1992 or 1984 stamped on them. Then, I looked up United Design Stone Critters to see that they, in fact, do offer these foals in their line! What gives??? I know that North Lights retired/discontinued the molds...but did they sell them to United Design?
Kim Carter comments in 2005: The North Light factory, located in Stoke-On-Trent, England has been recently acquired, lock, stock and barrel - including all existing North Light molds - by the company: WADE CERAMICS LTD. They will be a division within Wade called "North Light @ Wade".
New website for North Light.
