- Six or more months before show date:
- Find show venue, make initial deposit
- Set up class list
- Find judges
- Contact vendors
- Four months before show date:
- Set up web site
- Promote show
- Solicit donations for raffle, benefit auction
- Three months before show date
- Two months before show date
- Order awards
- Arrange travel for judges, if applicable
- One month before show date
- Submit initial venue layout for approval
- Early bird deadline
- Release unused rooms from reserved block
- Two weeks before show date
- One week before show date
- Submit meal menu
- Deadline for show program input
- One week after show date
- Two weeks after show date
- Submit show results for NAMHSA
- Make final payment of venue costs
- Summarize expenses/income
- Make charitable donation, if applicable
